For installation, note the following: 1. The mounting bracket can be installed horizontally or vertically, depending on the fixture to which the sun visor is to be installed. After determining the position of the mounting bracket, use it as a template to mark the hole positions and pre-drill the surface to insert the plastic anchors. 2. If the bracket is being installed on solid wood, plastic anchors are not necessary. However, plastic anchors are required for other materials such as concrete or stone. After drilling the holes, insert the plastic anchors until they are flush with the surface. Remove the four screws, turn the clutch unit 90 degrees so the clutch eye hangs from the top, and then rotate the idle end unit so the opening faces away from the window. 3. The final step is to install bungee ropes and ring brackets at the end of the shade. This helps secure the shade in windy conditions. Mount the brackets on the side, ensuring each is at least 6 feet from the top of the shade and can be reached by the bungee rope.
